I am sorry you are going through such a tought emotional times, but remember, life goes on. You should keep yourself very much alive by doing your best for your appearence. Go for it! Go to color your hair ! Go to get your make - up done by a professional and find out some soft colors becoming your status as a widow. With all the due respect to your deseased husband, you will act as a noble lady who is trying to live her life the best possible without him. Be gracious to your family for their concern, but unless you wish to dress always in black for a year, and never wear make up etc, that is your own decision ,not your family's. First you have to make peace with your internal self. Seek the guidance of your spiritual director, be it a Priest, Pastor, Minister, Rabbi, Bishop, etc. But more than anything, BE YOURSELF It is the rest of your life,live it as you feel you would like to ,respecting the rules of the good taste and the discrection of your status that as a widow it requires. You must be happy. Try to be happy. Some times, just going to the beauty salon makes the difference! Remember, YOU Are Still Alive !
